ICM

ICM stands for "Intentional Camera Movement." What was considered "shaky" in the good old analog days is now an interesting experiment. With exposure times between 0.5 and 2 seconds, the camera is deliberately moved along lines of light or edge structures. The results are surprising, and it usually takes dozens of attempts to capture a successful image.

What fascinates me about ICM is that it allows for a focus on the essential. Colors, shapes, and moods come to the fore, while the specific "motif" recedes. If you like that, I recommend the paintings of Roxanne Bouché Overton —a master in this field.
